Traitor.

Shall I speak my heart?

Opened wide and center stage?

Unleash these bittersweet tidings,

From their crumpled, gilded cage?

Can I love not merely one but two?

Who closer lies behind my eyes

When night finds me in my bed?

Which lover here

Becomes more clear,

A picture painted in my head.

Desire is a flighty bitch,

Touching down wherever she cares to be-

If I unlock these raw and tender feelings

Can reason help untangle me?

Decisions made in darkness under silken sheets

Cannot be trusted by the mind-

Can I keep the both of you

Without being a traitor or unkind?
