"A Room" a quiet poem

I want a room with no windows

 Don’t let the light in

 No!

 Don’t let it in

To burn my eyes

And twist my skin-

I want a room with no doors

Don’t let her out!

To run about

Breaking rules and hearts of fools-

I want a room with dark, quiet walls

Shadows to envelope me

Hold me fast

Don’t let it free!

No, not free

Not indeed-

A room where I can just be.
